Great time @ MIX Queer Film Fest

"Negro Hair Petting Zoo" (an excerpt from black enuf*) had a great reception at the 29th annual MIX Queer Experimental Film Festival. After the one minute piece was over, someone in the dark exclaimed "That was amazing" and my animator heart burst with joy. It feels so satisfying to screen with a receptive audience who laughs and gets into the work.

After the screening, there was a Q&A with the directors of the other shorts including  "I'm Fine" (by Lucritia Knapp and Lynne Yamamoto) a documentary about a Taiwanese mother and daughter and Arisleyda's "Mami, Y Yo, Y Mi Gallito"

Wrapping up around 1am, the audience was tired, but still looked great.

Thanks, MIX!
